Another Awesome Convention
This year was just a cool as the last FCN.  Awesome dances night after night plus the brilliant performances from Who's Lion, Comjuke's magic show, and the Fursuit Variety Show.  Exile did an excellent job with the fursuit games and I can't wait to see the pictures of the fun carnage of soccer and musical chairs.  Speaking of which, for those that have any pictures of the con, don't be afraid to post them up to these long lost sites of The Fursuit Archive and Frysco's Critter.net  I've only seen just an group upload by only one or two people per con.  So let's get a little archive revival thing going for them.  Thanks to the awesome staff members for putting this con together.

*Here's to a another year*

room for two?
I have a friend who will be attending FCN and the both of us are in need of a room. He will only be there the 8th and 9th and leaving the 10th. I will be needing a room for the entirety of the con, thursday through monday, leaving on monday of course. Floorspace is fine.

I will be bringing an air mattress for us so floorspace is all we need. If you have questions please feel free to ask.

From the Sponsor's Lounge
Greeting everyone, your master of all things alcohol and salty snacks reminding you that FCN is coming up very soon! Our renowned Sponsors' Lounge needs volunteers to keep up with all the people that use it and I come to you asking for you to help us out.

I need people who can cook according to directions on packaging, people to wash dishes and people to help with keeping things stocked and clean. Remember volunteers who donate enough time get free memberships for next years con so please come help out in the Lounge this year. I work very hard to make sure my volunteers have fun as well as get a chance to attend the events they want to see at the con. Even if it's for a few hours, every little bit helps. =3

If you want to volunteer or have questions about the Sponsor's Lounge email me at recommender6@gmail.com

We will see you there!

Hotel Sold Out?
I'm trying to book a room Thursday through Monday and am getting a message that the room block is sold out. Is the block expandable at this point?

I'd email the hotel contact to ask, but there's no hotel contact information on the contact us page.

Edit, January 28: Received an email from the con informing me the hotel room block has been expanded. Booked room. Note that doubles are sold out.

2011 DJ Auditions
Auditions are open... mmm... NOW! :D

Go ahead and send auditions (not more than 60 minutes in length) to dance AT furryconnect DOT com with the subject line "FCN 2011 Audition" for consideration. All genres accepted. If you've auditioned for FCN 2010, you must submit an new audition. If you've already submitted an audition for 2011, don't submit another one as you're already in my spreadsheet. Auditions will be accepted until March 1st! DJs will be announced approximately one month from the convention date! Good luck!

Keep in mind that selected DJs will be asked to bring their own gear. If its absolutely needed, Furry Connection North owns a very limited set of DJ gear (two Stanton CDJs and two Stanton turntables). For said turntables, cartridges/needles are NOT provided.

Haalright. I think I've covered all the immediate bases. If you have any questions with regard to the dance, please post here and I will answer to the best of my ability.

It's going to be the first time I'm attending this con, and I wonder if you still need DJs for the dances, and how to apply? :)

Can someone help with transporting cooking supplies?
I plan on flying from Charlotte, NC this year. The airports tend not to like knives. If anyone is driving from the Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, or Chapel Hill areas, or Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredricksburg, Fairfax, or Springfield, VA areas please let me know.

I can be reached here and via chillymouse@gmail.com.

I need some travel help and info.
I'm making travel plans right now for FCN, it will be my first time attending after hearing so many good things about it!

If anyone could recommend the best shuttle or taxi service from the Detroit airport to the Sheraton in Novi let me know. I prefer setting those up a few months in advance before traveling.

Looking for the panelists from Fit Furries Panel
Hey Everyone- I am looking for the panelists who lead the Fit Furries panel...Razor Baribal and Odin.

If anyone has their lj info or contact info I would really love to have it- or send them mine. I am in charge of a fit fursuiters group on LJ and wanted to see if they wanted to be a part of it. I am also hosting a similar panel at a couple future cons and wanted to see if we could exchange some ideas for what to discuss based on their experiences with this one.

Lost In The '80s
I wanted to give a big thanks to 0ddj0b, for giving me a chance to provide some of the Totally Awesome music for FCN. If you went to a dance on Thursday or Saturday, you might have heard some of my tunes.

In any case, I present to you two sets for your listening pleasure. The first set is an extended (2 hrs) version of the Thursday night set. The second set is even more extended (3 hrs) from the Saturday night set, because really.. who can get enough 80s? If you're wondering what the difference is, the 2 hour set is a little more modern house/electro mixes of 80s songs and the 3 hour set is mostly original versions/mixes, so it's got a more old school flavor. Tracklistings can be found at the link below.

I haven't really heard a lot of feedback yet, so if you went and heard this stuff, or even if you didn't and are hearing it for the first time, let me know what you think! Links are embedded above, if you want to hear other mixes/remixes/mashups, everything is at my main site, www.audiodile.com (long convention sets are under studio sets).

Thanks and have a great weekend!
